Nowadays, silica gel packets can be found in all sorts of products and there is a good reason for that – it absorbs and holds water vapour. In electronics, it prevents condensation, which might damage the electronics. In leather products and foods, the lack of moisture helps limit the growth of mould and reduce spoilage. In vitamin bottles, condensed moisture could ruin the pills. Simply said, silica gel packets are found in anything that would be affected by excess moisture or condensation.
